Elisabeth Jenny-Beyer grew up in a multicultural house in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and holds a diploma in information sciences.

In 1980 she moved together with her husband and children of school age to New York. Two years later, back in Switzerland, the family moved to Lausanne in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. And finally, since 1983 she lives in Fribourg.

Personal experience therefore is the basis of her understanding for the needs of expatriates. She experienced the challenge of adapting to a new culture with a different language and what it means to build a new life for a family in a foreign country.
Fribourg has now become her second home; she knows the area inside out and enjoys sharing her knowledge with newcomers, focusing on family needs.
